YEAH!

Will has a few new words! He now says "Yeah!" in response to questions. It is adorable ... and very helpful! If I can guess what he wants, he can confirm it. Yipee! (He also shakes his head no sometimes, but he hasn't learned to say the word.)

His other new word is "three," which comes out more like "tree" or "free." So, when he's counting his cars, you'll hear a lot of "dah, dah, dah" and then "two, two, two" and sometimes a "tree!" Way to go, Will-boo!

Gone Daddy Gone

Brice spent two weeks in South Carolina this month! We don't have pictures to document everything, but he experienced beautiful sunny weather, a torrential downpour, catfish fishing (catfishing?) with my cousin Wade, several of my cousin Joel's shows (he is a musician), Uncle Jay's famous hot dog chili, a drive-thru Passion play with my cousin Jessica, and a great Easter service and Passion play (not drive-thru) at my Uncle Ron and Aunt Libby's church ... just to name a few of the highlights!

A huge thank you to my Aunt Libby/Uncle Ron and Aunt Wanda/Uncle Jay who housed Brice during his stay! I wish I could have been there, too!

Brice got to be a part of Jessica's early College Graduation soiree! Here she is with her Mom and Dad, Libby and Ron. Congratulations, Jessica!

Easter

We had a nice Easter Sunday even though we were missing Brice! (He was out of town.) Will decided to have separation anxiety during church, so the nursery attendants paged me and I chased him around the lobby for an hour. This was the first time that has ever happened! Here are some pictures from later that afternoon.

My parents were visiting, which was really fun! Here is Will with his Pops. (He called him Pa Pa, though ... so it just might stick!)

Daaaaaaaa wheels on the bus!

I can't tell you how many times my mom has told me to "Write that down!" when I explain something new that Will is doing. My response is usually something along the lines of "I don't have a baby book," which is a lame excuse! So, after reading the updates on a blog belonging to one of my friends, I am feeling inspired to record more of Will's latest feats.

The first thing that comes to mind is the song "The Wheels on the Bus." Will doesn't say many recognizable words yet -- soon, I hope? -- but he babbles a ton. He hasn't ever sung along with me, either. Just a few days ago, though, he sort of joined in! I often sing that song while changing Will's diaper because I need to do SOMETHING to distract him (he isn't a big fan of the diaper changes lately) and he really likes the verse about the doors going "open and shut." What I hadn't realized is that I tend to sing "The" for a really long time (a fermata, if you will) before I begin each verse. I think I do this because I'm dragging the song out longer ... and I'm also trying to think of another verse to sing! Anyway, now after I finish each verse, Will sings "Daaaaaaaaaaa" until I come in with "--wheels on the bus ..." It's so cute!

Here are some pictures from our recent visit with my friend Sarah (from college) and her family. She has three little boys! It was so good for Will to play with/around them and see how they interact. We had a blast! Here is Brice trying to keep the "Wills" still enough for a picture. Sarah's youngest is also named Will, and she calls him "Will 2.0" when we're around. Ha!
