Gymnast-in-training
Oh how I wish I had a picture of this!
Lately we have been catching Will balancing dangerously on things about a foot or two off of the ground. We got a small rocking chair from my parents' house, which we officially use as a "time out" chair. Twice now, I have heard Will say "MA," only to look over from the kitchen and see him standing up on seat of the rocking chair! He usually has his hands up, gymnastics-style, for balance. He also has an impish grin, because he knows this is a no-no.
Today he took it to the next level. He stool up on the hassock (foot stool) we keep in front of the couch, which is dangerous because he could easily fall off and break a limb. Both Brice and I noticed and immediatly told Will to "sit on his bottom," but he paused and then leapt on to the couch. The footstool and couch were not touching, mind you. He was like a spider monkey. We had never even seen him jump before! It was amazing ... and totally scary. Wild at heart?!

Emuh!
Will can say Elmo! Yes, he has seen a couple of episodes of Sesame Street and, more importantly, there is a picture of Elmo on his toothbrush. We are excited about each and every new word, and this one is especially cute! (We think he said "Griffey" the other day, too.)
